Creating a Data Collection

The Data Collector feature allows you to collect, present, and analyze data from one or more images across multiple data sources.  In this way it allows you to consolidate and compare measurements and other data. Click here for more information.

To create a data collection that collects data across multiple images:

Click the Types tool in the Data Collector group on the Review ribbon bar.

The Measurements dialog box is shown.

Select measurements from the Available Measurements panel and add them to the Selected Measurements panel to define the data you want collected.

Click the Data Table tool to show the Data Collection view of the Image-Pro data table. This displays a list in table format of all of the measurements for all of the objects in an image according to the measurements you selected in step 1.

Open/show one of your images of interest.

In the Data Collector group of the Review tab, click the Collect tool.

The Data Table is populated with the data collected from the active image.  It is labeled "Collect#: 1".

Open/show another of your images of interest.

Click the Collect tool again.

The Data Table is populated with the data collected from the active image.  It is labeled "Collect#: 2".

Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the data from all images of interest have been collected.
